Jeanette Van Wicklen Design - Part 1

I just have to wonder with some homes how in the heck the owners ever mange to leave! This one designed by Jeanette Van Wicklen of JVW Home is one of them. The interior designer out of Austin, Texas knows a thing or two about our favorite colors...oh my gosh, they're everywhere! There are so many gorgeous rooms in this home, photographed so beautifully by Paul Finkel of Piston Design and Katie Clementson, that I just can't fit them all in one day. Today we're starting off in the family areas of the home. Can you believe the home was built in the 1800's?? It's actually an old farmhouse in the west hills of Austin that Jeannette and her husband lovingly renovated. There are so many great details, I feel like every time I look at the photos I see something new that I love! Yup, pretty sure I'd never leave!

Elizabeth Newman Interior Design

What is it about turquoise and orange?! Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina designer Elizabeth Newman sure knows...the two complementary colors provide a fresh contrast that our eyes just eat right up! I love this porch so much, even if I'm craving an iced tea big time right now! The bright throw pillows liven up the space, but it's those aqua cane chairs that I am loving most! Lucy Interior Design

I love winter, I really do, but this fab sunroom is making me long for summer! Designed by Minneapolis-based Lucy Penfield of Lucy Interior Design and photographed by Andrea Rugg, the beautiful room is all about great texture, fun patterns, pretty color and loads of sunshine! Both comfortable and chic, I can imagine the homeowners (and their cute fluffy cat!) spend a lot of time kickin' up their feet in this space!

Billy Roberts Design

This Sea Island, Georgia vacation home designed by Billy Roberts and photographed by Lauren Rubinstein is just what the doctor ordered....it is feeling awfully cold here in Minneapolis! The beautiful home features some pretty amazing marsh views and the sun setting down over the marsh changes the colors in the home; the white walls come alive with light blues, oranges and greens. Carde Reimerdes

Sometimes you just have to let the view have all the attention! Surrendering to the sea and mountains just outside the windows, designer Carde Reimerdes chose a soothing white and bone color scheme for this seaside escape on the dreamy island of Mallorca. I love how the delightful bits of turquoise in the accessories hint at the Mediterranean Sea outside. Pretty sure I wouldn't be able to get a wink of sleep in that utterly romantic bedroom with its beautiful canopy bed and jaw-dropping view! Head on over to El Mueble for more pics!

Nicki Pasqualone of Vitalic Photography + Giveaway Winner!

What a way to wrap up the week! This is a rare treat...one brought to us by Nicki Pasqualone - a professional photographer who holds an interior design license, whose dad (Randy Hines) is general contractor! Nicki recently finished enclosing her Florida porch into a sunroom (office, playroom, den) and I cannot get over how perfect it is (or how adorable her daughter is!) I just love how she took Urban Outfitter's ruffle shower curtain and stretched it around a blank canvas. Brilliant! The wall color is utterly perfect here too...it was a custom match (the label says CLRNT = 384th, B=76, C = 27, D = 124, if that means anything to you guys). Love the pillows...floral one made from Kravet Jellybean from Etsy shop LilyOnBlue and the green one featuring Schumacher's Betwixt in Water/Ivory made by LabDesigns on Etsy. The cute striped one is from TJ Maxx. (Nicki generously supplied me with a ton of sources, so if you are wondering about anything else, just ask away!)
